6-hour tour recommended for people with limited time and a desire to explore the Sumatran Jungle!
Activity description
1 day jungle trek where you will hike up and down the hills of Gnung Leuser National Park while having the opportunity to see wildlife in their natural habitat. This hike has a slow pace with breaks, so you can enjoy the nature around you. Intensity level: low Group size: minimum 2 people, maximum 7 people (adults only) or 8 people (adults & children) Start: at 09:00 am Availability : everyday Trip Description: 9:00 - Your English-speaking guide will pick you up from your accommodation to begin the hike. We will cross the Bohorok River and enter the national park, continuing our hike through the jungle until we reach a stream where we will rest. Afterwards we will walk for about an hour to admire the beautiful scenery overlooking the entire Bohorok River valley. Around noon we will stop at a hidden waterfall where we can swim in the cool water before enjoying our local lunch. Afterwards we will walk for another 1 hour while exploring the rainforest and climb up the hill to a fantastic viewpoint with many wild orchids. After a short rest, we will continue trekking upstream until we reach the end of our adventure "The Jungle Taxi"!. The jungle cab is the traditional Bukit Lawang rafting that will take you back to the village.
